Consumers in Europe are renowned for being extremely technologically advanced in terms of online activities and technology and device ownership. But due to the lack of direct-to-consumer advertising for pharmaceuticals, many pharmaceutical companies have assumed that consumers were somewhat passive participants in the patientphysician relationship.
A clinical research firm Veeda Clinical Research Pvt. Ltd is proposing a project, wherein it will adopt about a dozen cancer hospitals in tier-II and tier-III cities across India to ensure easy access to a wider patient pool for its drug test projects.

A telemidicine link now connects AIIMS with Sher-E-Kashmir Institute, Cuttack Cancer Hospital as part of a larger plan to connect around 100 networked hospitals and medical institutions all over the country.
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) of India has expanded its telemedicine connectivity at its cancer treatment facility.The facility will also provide consultations to the SAARC and pan-African countries
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, will connect the hospital’s cancer specialists to patients in rural areas, by providing the country its first mobile mammography service (to be launched soon) in a bid to provide medical aid to breast cancer patients in far-flung rural areas.
The telemedicine network becomes essential as in most cases reading the scans can be confusing. Telemedicine also helps make up for the poor health infrastructure in this large disparately growing country.
