The Asian Heart Institute (AHI) of Mumbai has launched its telemedicine facility for heart patients of the city.

The Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Dr Anbumani Ramadoss recently inaugurated New Delhi’s first ever college of nursing at the Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC). Affiliated to Delhi University, the college is recognised by the Indian Nursing college.
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, will connect the hospital’s cancer specialists to patients in rural areas, by providing the country its first mobile mammography service (to be launched soon) in a bid to provide medical aid to breast cancer patients in far-flung rural areas.
The telemedicine network becomes essential as in most cases reading the scans can be confusing. Telemedicine also helps make up for the poor health infrastructure in this large disparately growing country.

The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) of India has launched the telemedicine network project, named “Sagar Space Chikitsa” from SQL platform at Lilavati Hospital of Mumbai, India.
The State Government of Maharashtra, India has signed a deal with the Indian Space and Research Organisation (ISRO) to develop a telemedicine project in the state. King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEM) is to be linked with hospitals in Latur, Sindhudurg, Nandurbar and suburban Mumbai.
