Philips plans USD 5.1 billion acquisition of Respironics

Philips appears to have completed its planned USD 5.1 billion purchase of home medical equipment supplier Respironics. The acquisition – the fourth in recent weeks for the Dutch IT vendor – would be Philips’ largest acquisition ever, according to published reports.
