In a bid to allow Indian doctors practising abroad to return and plug the acute shortage in healthcare back home, the government may soon recognize postgraduate medical degrees of 10 foreign countries.
iSoft has announced that its LabCentre laboratory information system is to be introduced in the Netherlands.
Having failed to identify suitable targets in the UK, Apollo Hospitals is eyeing acquisition opportunities in other markets. The company is scouting for opportunities in Spain and Peru and eyeing tertiary level hospitals in both countries. The move will enable Apollo to gain a foothold in the European and Latin American markets.
Smart Open Services (SOS) is a pan-European ehealth project facilitating cross-border healthcare. The project aims to develop services providing patients travelling across Europe with access to high-quality care.
Trivitron’s Medical Technology Park (MTP) is all set to commence construction in Chennai; MTP to create employment for 1000 people by 2011; signs JVs with Aloka, Brandon and Bio-systems for the MTP.
India and other developing countries are set to lobby hard for funding mechanisms to develop medicines,
